2010
Students wishing to study in the UK for a short period during the summer may apply to join our general English Summer courses. We offer the following features:
15 hours English + full-board homestay = £255 per week 25 hours English+ full-board homestay = £310 per week For self-catering rooms in halls of residence see our accommodation page for a choice of halls and add the price of accommodation to our tuition fees For students who do not require accommodation, the following fees apply: 15 hours English = £140 per week 25 hours English = £195 per week Fees include use of all books & materials, and school facilities (including broadband internet access, student common room & self-study areas). There is a student registration fee of £50 Social programmeSee pictures from our 2009 social trips here We aim to arrange at least one social event every week throughout the Summer months. Our optional social programme of trips for Summer 2009 included the following: Friday 10 July Leeds City Museum & Art Gallery Cost FREE Friday 17 July Daytrip to York Options include York Dungeons, York Minster, Yorvik Centre, shopping and bus & boat tours of York Cost £15 Saturday 25 July Leeds United v Blackburn Rovers Football match at Elland Road, Leeds. See an English Premiership team live in action... and Leeds United! Cost £10 Friday 31 July Daytrip to Liverpool Why not be a ‘Daytripper’ on our visit to Liverpool, home of the Beatles? Just £15 buys you a ‘Ticket to Ride’ return coach ticket. Options include the Beatles museum, the Cavern club, Anfield (Liverpool FC) & shopping. Friday 7 August Daytrip to Scarborough Enjoy a day at the seaside. Fish & chips, ice cream on the beach, the SeaLife centre & Scarborough Castle. Cost £26 includes return train tickets & special discounted entry to the castle & SeaLife centre. Friday 14 August Picnic in the Park Kirkstall Abbey grounds Cost FREE
