The School

SchoolSchoolSchoolSchoolSchool

Our main school building is based at 8 Woodhouse Square, a beautiful Grade 2 Listed Georgian building.

The school building is spacious and self-contained, occupying four floors. We also have additional classrooms in our nearby annexe, a modern. newly-decorated building less than 200 metres from the main school. At the heart of the Leeds education sector, we are close to Park Lane College and the Swarthmore Adult Education Centre. Both Leeds University and Leeds Metropolitan University are less than ten minutes away. We are ten minutes' walk from the train station, and minutes from all main bus routes on The Headrow.

A Mature Study Environment

Whilst we hope that you will have fun studying with us, we take your English studies seriously. We realise that studying in a focussed and mature way, alongside other adult students, is the best way for you to improve quickly and effectively. With this in mind all Leeds Languages English language courses are available to students aged 18+ only.

Free Bus

The best way to reach the school from anywhere in Leeds city centre is by hopping onto the FREE City Bus. There are stops throughout Leeds city centre, including the train station, universities, and The Headrow.

The Leeds Languages stop is number 6, just across from the school.

Facilities

Our classrooms are spacious and centrally heated throughout, with large desks and comfortable chairs, offering a relaxing environment in which to learn.

Our computer suite offers free broadband internet access. English language learning sites for self study can be accessed. Audio equipment is also available for student use, on request.

Our student common room offers large comfortable sofas to relax in between classes, with tea and coffee available throughout the day, as well as newspapers & magazines. Board games can be borrowed from reception.

Student Parking

There is free student parking in the streets close to the school. Check the street signs to make sure you are not parked in a restricted area, and avoid double yellow lines which mean parking is not allowed in such areas at any time.

School Visits

We are always happy to welcome prospective students on an informal visit.

Feel free to call us if you would like to arrange a tour of the school.

Food & Drink

There are many excellent cafes and sandwich shops offering a range of hot & cold food and drinks, within a short distance from the school. These are mostly located on Great George Street, which is just 2 minutes' walk from the school. Even more conveniently, there is a student cafe next door to our school at the Swarthmore Adult Education centre.

Need Childcare?

If you have pre-school children and you are looking for childcare speak to Susan or Lynn, our school administrators, who will be able to give you our Childcare Information Sheet. This includes contact details and information on nurseries & childcare providers in the area, as well as useful websites and other information.
