Leeds Languages evening courses offer a fun & friendly activity for all.  Why not make it a social event by arriving early & enjoying a complimentary tea or coffee in our common room, or a drink in town after the class?

Can I check availability?

Certainly.

We update course availabilty on a daily basis on this page (see course list below). Unless a course is stated as FULL you can safely assume that we are running it.

However, if you want to double-check for extra peace of mind feel free to call our school administrator on (0113) 2427171 during office hours (Mon-Fri, 9-5).

How much is it?

£95 for 6 weeks (12 hours). There is no additional booking fee. Photocopies of all course materials are provided and included in the fee, or students may purchase their own copy of the main text (with supplementary materials provided). There are no discounted rates.

Please note that fees must be paid in full to secure a place. We cannot guarantee availability on the start date. Enrollment is on a strictly first-come-first-serve basis.

Which courses are available, and when?

All courses are offered in six-week (12 hour) blocks. New courses start every six weeks. At the end of each block students may progress to the next level.

All classes run from 7pm - 9pm

Where is the school?

Courses are delivered from our Leeds city centre school at 8 Woodhouse Square, Leeds LS3 1AD. We are situated just behind Leeds City College (Park Lane), next door to the Swarthmore Centre.

Free on-street parking is available outside and close to the school from 6.30pm (check street signs for relevant zones). In addition, the Leeds FREE city bus stops immediately outside the school (stop number 6).

Who are the teachers?     All courses are taught by native level, qualified & experienced teachers.

How old are the students?

All ages. The course is aimed at adults, so students should be over 16. Previous courses have catered for anyone between 16 and 75, although the typical age is usually 20-40. Everyone is made welcome.

What happens if a course is cancelled?

If any course is cancelled by Leeds Languages, a full refund is given to those students already booked, or a place may be transferred to the next suitable course.

Can I get a refund if I miss some weeks?

No. Leeds Languages cannot make refunds for classes missed by the student during the 6-week course. All terms & conditions of booking can be found on the online booking form.

Do courses run year-round?

All courses are ongoing throughout the year, except for public holidays, with a one-week break between blocks. There is a summer break through August.

Our language courses make a unique present for a loved one, friend, work colleague, or even a valued employee. Book and pay using the online facilities on this site, then email or call us to let us know it is for a friend/relative and we will send all confirmation details directly to you.

How do I book a place? Do I have to book online?

Online booking is preferable and the quickest way to book. However there are 3 options for booking your place:

  1. Complete the online application form, and make your payment by credit or debit card using the link on the Fees page of this site. We will confirm receipt of your application & payment within 48 hours. Please note that we require both a completed application and payment before we can confirm your place on the course.
  2. Contact us by phone on (0113) 2427171 or by email at eveningclasses@leedslanguages.co.uk. An application form will be sent out to you by mail, email or fax. Complete this and return with a cheque for £95 per place, made payable to Leeds Languages Ltd.
  3. Call into the school during normal office hours to complete the application form and register.
