| First day in school | All students receive an induction session on their first day in school. This includes a placement test (including writing, grammar and speaking) with our Head of EFL. You will also be briefed on student welfare issues such as opening a bank account and local knowledge of Leeds. |
| Course content | Your course will include work on the 4 key skills areas of reading, writing, speaking & listening. Teachers work from a variety of coursebooks, as well as their own resources, giving students handouts to work from and take home for revision. |
| Course objectives | The course is designed to raise students' attainment levels to achieve their target IELTS grade. |
| Checking your Progress | Regular practice IELTS tests are conducted, using previous exam papers. Your teacher will aim to identify your areas of weakness and prepare work to improve on these. Daily homework is set - usually including revision of the day's work. When you are close to achieving your target grade we will help you to book a place on a real IELTS test. |
