Course Details
Group classes are suitable for all levels from elementary to advanced. Students are level tested at the start of their course and placed in the most appropriate group available for their level. Support classes are offered (where required), with 1:1 tuition for beginners and super-advanced
| First day in school | All students receive an induction session on their first day in school. This includes a placement test (including writing, grammar and speaking) with our Head of EFL. You will also be briefed on student welfare issues such as opening a bank account and local knowledge of Leeds. |
| Course content | Your course will include work on reading, writing, speaking & listening, as well as lots of vocabulary, grammar, & pronunciation. Teachers work from a primary set course book, with supplementary materials given to students as handouts. All course books are provided in class. |
| Course objectives | The course is designed to address students' areas of weakness and improve their English language useage in the key areas of reading, writing, speaking & listening. |
| Checking your Progress | Regular progress and revision tests are informally taken throughout your studies. Your teacher will aim to identify areas of weakness and prepare work to improve on these. Daily homework is set - usually including revision of the day's work. Students making a significant improvement in their English level will be moved up to a higher level. |

Our typical year-round school day follows the 10am - 4pm timetable. However, during busy times of the year the school operates a staggered timetable. Students may find themselves allocated an earlier (9am) or later (12pm) start, according to the timetables above. Students will be notified of their individual timetable after completing a level test.
Unfortunately we cannot guarantee which of the timetable options a student will receive until after they have completed a level test.
There is a 10 minute break midway through the 3-hour classes.
Self study
Approximately 1 hour of self-study/homework is set every day. Please note that we make no charge for self-study hours. When you book a course of 25 hours per week you will receive 25 teacher-taught hours. Self-study is set in addition to these hours
