English Courses

Our fees are calculated on a sliding scale according to the number of weeks studied:

One-to-one classes = 35 GBP per hour
(30 GBP per hour when 10+ hours are booked and paid for).

Discounts on off-peak courses

Self-funding students studying during 1 October 2010 - 31 May 2011 may qualify for discounted fees. Contact the school administrator on (0113) 242 7171 for more information.

Self study (& guided study) - FREE

Please note that our fees make no charge for self-study hours. When you book a course of 25 hours per week you will receive 25 teacher-taught full hours. Self-study is set in addition to these hours. All registered students are entitled to attend our Wednesday lunchtime guided study hour FREE OF CHARGE (first come first serve, subject to numbers).

Registration fee

There is a registration fee of 50 GBP on all English language courses, non-refundable and payable at the time of booking. This is included in your deposit of 150 GBP.

Text books

All learning resources, including class sets of text books, are provided and included in your tuition fee. New students do not need to buy any text books - this is included in your tuition fee.

FREE text books

All students who book and pay for an English course of 15+ hours for 10+ weeks are entitled to receive a free copy of the main general English text book. Please note that this offer is subject to the student paying their fees in full. One book per student. This does not include IELTS text books, which are provided as part of your course.

Flexible start dates & course length

Choose your own start date, and study with us for as many weeks as you require. Students may enrol to begin studying with us on any Monday throughout the year. We are open year-round, except for Bank holidays and the following holiday periods:

Bank Holiday: 30 August 2010 (school closed)

Christmas & New Year: 22 December 2010 - 4 January 2011 inclusive (school closed)

Examination fees

Our course fees do not include any examination fees. We are happy to help any registered students to book an IELTS test. The current IELTS test fee is 110 GBP.

Paying for your accommodation

We do not charge a fee for arranging accommodation. All accommodation payments are made directly to host families or halls of residence by the student. A minimum one week's payment will be due on arrival.

Evening Classes

Our 6 week (12 hour) group evening courses in French, Spanish & Italian cost 95 GBP. Online applicants can pay for their course using the credit card facility lower down on this page. There are no discounted rates or booking fees. All fees are due prior to the start of each course. Places cannot be guaranteed on the first night unless paid for in advance. Business Courses

Our business courses are tailor-made to meet the specific requirements of our clients. Fees vary according to the duration of the course, class size, and the language requested.

Paying your fees

All tuition fees are payable in full prior to the commencement of your course.

We require a completed student application form and deposit of 150 GBP including 50 GBP registration fee (English courses only) to confirm your place.
Students may pay either a deposit (150 GBP) or fees in full at the time of booking.

There are three methods of payment:

Cheques
Cheques (drawn on UK bank accounts only) should be made payable to 'Leeds Languages Ltd.' and posted to the school address. Course bookings will be confirmed when cheques have cleared in full.
